Black History Month 2013

Monday, January 21st- Friday, February 15th.

Civil Rights Photo Exhibit: Celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. and Black History Month through images from various civil rights movements in the Balfour Hood Cafe.

Friday, February 1st- Thursday, February 28th.

Banner Display: Look up to see the new flags hanging in honor of Black History Month in the Balfour Hood Campus Center.

Saturday, February 2nd.

African History Film Series: Different But Equal.  7pm-8pm in the Media Center, Balfour-Hood.  Free and open to the public.

Wednesday, February 6th.

Dissecting the Beef: Engage in a discussion on the importance of Black History Month, from 6pm-7pm in the May Room (Mary Lyon).

African History Film Series:   Caravans of Gold.  7pm-8pm in the Media Center, Balfour-Hood.  Free and open to the public.

Monday, February 11th.

Thursday, February 14th- Sunday, February 17th.

Black Solidarity Conference at Yale University: A series of formal workshops and panel discussions.

Friday, February 22nd.

BSA Mural Painting: Come and help create a mural that symbolizes the multicultural unity at Wheaton, from 6pm-7pm in the Atrium of the Balfour Hood Campus Center.
