Move-In Information

New Students

Saturday, August 23rd - 8:00am to 12:30pm

Key Pick-Up Locations:

  • Meadows East, North, and West - Meadows Center Lounge (Campus Map #46)*
  • Young, McIntire, Clark - The covered walkway outside of McIntire (Campus Map #45)*
  • Chapin, Kilham, and all other buildings - By the Hebe statues in courtyard between Kilham and Metcalf (Campus Map #43 and #50)*

For new families:

  • When you arrive on campus, Public Safety will be available to direct you to the proper location.

Request for Early Arrival:

Due to lack of available staff and the time necessary to make final preparations to buildings, we do not permit new students to arrive prior to their scheduled move-in date.

Returning Students

Monday, August 25th - 9am to 4:30pm

Early Arrival Grace Period - Domestic students are granted a 1 day grace period prior to move in date / International Students are granted 2 days.

The move in times for early arrivals is as follows:

  • Sunday, August 24th - 11am to 2pm
  • Saturday, August 23rd - 3pm to 4pm (only returning international students are permitted at this time)

Please Note: Prior approval for move-in at the above times is not required.  You do not need to e-mail us for permission to arrive during the "grace period."

All other questions should be directed to Mary Powers.

Please note:

  • If you arrive after the check-in table has been closed, please look for signs on your building to direct you on who to contact or contact Public Safety.

On-Campus Job, Pre-Orientation Participants, Fall Athletes

Those residents who need to arrive early because they are participating in an on campus program, job, or are Fall athletes should have their names submitted to Mary Powers by Wednesday, July 30th.  We may not be able to honor requests beyond that date.

Keys - Pick-up location and times for early arrivals vary based on arrival date and program.

  • Fall Athletes - Keys will be available in the Athletics Office open M-F 9am to 4pm.  Check with Lisa Yenush or your coach for any special arrival needs.
  • Pre-Orientation Program Participants - Keys will be available at the program check-in on Thursday, August 21st (*International Students will receive their keys from Global Education upon arrival to campus)
  • All other reasons to be on campus:
    • Arrival prior to August 19th - *Keys will be available in the Locksmiths Office, open M-F 7:30am to 3:30pm (arrivals outside of those times email Mary Pavao at least 2 business days in advance to have your keys left at Public Safety)  *Student ID's for access to Beard will be available at Public Safety.
    • Arrival August 19th to August 22nd - Keys will be available in Residential Life, open M-F 9am to 4pm (arrivals outside of those times email Mary Powers at least 2 business days in advance to have your keys left at Public Safety)
