Professor Derek Price maintains active connections to the Navajo Nation for his research in child development. In his course, students are mentored by Navajo families and educators who guide them through traditional and contemporary cultural perspectives and activities (especially as they relate to child development) and through educational issues, contexts, and processes for Navajo children. Professor Price and students also teach math and English, supervise students in the classroom and in the field, and meet other needs of the school.
