Activities: Head Resident, Dean’s Intern in the Filene Center for Advising and Career Services and member of the Intercultural Executive Board. I just began an internship at a nonprofit, microfinance organization in Providence.
Why Wheaton? I like the small size, which helps you get to know the other students better and more personally, and the professors, who take a personal interest in your success. I also like the resources that Wheaton provides: financially, academically and socially. If you want something, Wheaton will help you get it, but you have to make that effort. Wheaton also is close to Boston and Providence so it’s easy to get off campus and use those larger cities.
Favorite professor? My favorite professor is Darlene Boroviak. She was influential in choosing my major through my experience in the courses I had with her- e.g. International Politics, U.S. Foreign Policy, International Law.
Most thrilling adventure? I worked in Istanbul, Turkey for two summers at Robert College, an English-language summer camp (through the Filene Center for Academic Advising and Career Services). It was one of the most thrilling experiences of my life. It gave me confidence in myself and helped me make connections with people from all over the world.
Favorite TV show? Lost is great because it keeps you hooked without ever actually resolving anything. I love the Red Green Show for its Canadian humor. My guilty pleasure: Supernanny.
