Activities? I am the Captain of Wheaton’s Club Field Hockey and Vice President of Whe/Arc Friendship Club (formerly Best buddies). I also work for Learning Disabilities Services (LDS). I love to write and I’m working on a novel in my spare time as well as a children’s book for my mother’s second grade class on bullying. I also hope to run in a half marathon in the spring because I love to run and I think it would be a great accomplishment.

Something interesting about me? After studying abroad in South Africa I have fallen in love with it. Not a day goes by where I do not think of my families there. I spent 4 weeks in the township of Langa of Cape Town with the Dike family. I write to my families as often as possible and I am still in daily contact with the group of students I studied with. I am continuing to study the language I began to learn there, Xhosa.

Dinner with? I would love to cook with and then dine with Jane Austen. Her books have been a solid part of my reading and writing inspiration and I would love to hear if she speaks in the same intimate, poetic manner that she writes with.
