Outgoing Mail All envelopes must include the org number in the upper left corner and banded together. Outgoing mail is delivered to the Norton Post Office at 12:30 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. All outgoing mail must be received at the mail room no later than 3:30 p.m. to ensure same-day delivery to the Norton Post office.

Mail received after 3:30 p.m. will not be processed until the next day.

Package(s) Pickup

When you receive a package(s) you will be notified through your Wheaton College email account. You can pick up package(s) Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. To receive the package, you must have your Wheaton ID and a signature is required for all package(s).

NO packages pickup on Saturday.

Notices and Flyers

When requesting the distribution of notices or flyers make sure that the Mail Room has enough copies and specify which group(s) should receive your mailing. Campus Mail Services staff know the current numbers of faculty, staff, and students on campus. All notices or flyers will be in the boxes within 48 hours of drop-off at the Mail Room. Because campus mail boxes are color coded by class year, labels are not needed when sending flyers or notices to members of a particular class.

Student clubs & organizations must have the approval of the Dean of Students office if they would like to have flyers or notices distributed.

There are several things you can do to speed the delivery of your box stuffing:

  • Get it to Campus Mail Services at least 24 hours before the recipients need the information.
  • If the item to be stuffed is for a selected group, write their box numbers on the copies and put them in box number order.
  • Campus Mail Services may request that you supply some or all of the labor if it is a last minute stuffer that needs to be stuffed into the boxed immediately.

Restrictions on Notices and Flyers

Notices or flyers must be at least 5.5 x 8.5 inches. All printed material that is to be sent through campus mail must either be folded or stapled. Single sheets must be folded in half or in thirds, two or more sheets must be stapled together.

Full sheets should be folded in thirds. A folding machine is available in the Copy Center, located in Balfour-Hood, behind the Mail Room.

There will be no Saturday morning box stuffing done.

The following items may not be put into campus boxes: food, candy, chain letters or campus election material, anonymous submissions, advertisements for sale of merchandise or services (except those that arrive in the US mail), political advertising for college, city, county, state or federal election (except those that arrive in US mail), personal opinion statements.
