I approach the study of Political Science from an interdisciplinary perspective. Because of this framing, studying Political Science allows me to engage a wide variety of topics, but I am particularly fascinated with discourses around power relations and social justice. My teaching and research reflects my interest in power and social justice with a particular interest in marginalized communities, broadly including race, and particularly African Americans from a the perspective of Black Feminism, and the LGBT community.  I try to create a link with Connections and Infusion, by using student-centered teaching methods.  What I have found over the years is that the synergy of this method creates a transformative and dynamic learning environment, where we take information and develop a personalized stake in the discovery of knowledge. Join us on the journey to more discoveries.
