CAMPUS NEWS AND EVENTS
Wheaton welcomes new students
Wheaton's new first-year and transfer students are settling in to the rhythms of campus life. They come from 33 states and 23 countries, and their talents run wide and deep. Take a look at Wheaton's newest scholars here.
Honoring the past--and starting anew
Dean of Students Sue Alexander delivered the keynote address at Opening Convocation on Aug. 29, calling upon students to appreciate the college's history as well as the role they will play in writing its next chapters. Wheaton, she said, is a contract between generations--past, present and future. Read more and listen to address online.
At your service
The college's new students are participating in a day of service to people and organizations in local communities in September and October. The new program, which extends the Wheaton "service day" tradition, is called Season of Service. Students have been washing windows for elders, cleaning playground equipment for children, sprucing up parks and walking trails, and much more. Read all about it here.
Homecoming weekend October 19-21
All roads lead to Wheaton on Homecoming weekend, so come join us for this traditional fall celebration. Visit with students, parents and alumni, and take your pick from a wide choice of informative and entertaining events. Registration is available online.
