Wheaton scientists decode sea urchin genome, publish in Science
A team of Wheaton faculty and students led by Associate Professor of Biology Robert Morris are among the scientists who recently announced the decoding and analysis of the genome sequence of the sea urchin. The scientists presented the primary results of the project in the November 10 issue of Science. (More)
The art of film photography
In a digital age, Wheaton faculty members still extol the value of learning photography with a film camera. But getting hold of enough 35 mm cameras for students to use is another story. (More)

A Wheaton biology class is sponsoring 16 campus screenings of An Inconvenient Truth, the 2006 documentary about global warming. (More)

ATHLETICS
Women's basketball hosts Tip-Off Classic
J.J. Jumper, the official mascot of the NCAA, will be among the guests at the season opener of the women's basketball team on Nov. 18. So will members of the 1993-94 women's basketball team, who will be honored in a ceremony before the game. The team was the college's first to advance to the NCAA Final Four after Wheaton went co-ed. The tournament takes place Nov. 18-19. (More)
