Wheaton in the News
A great choice for womenand men
Wheaton was among the handful of Massachusetts colleges on CosmoGIRL! magazine's list of 50 Best Colleges for CosmoGIRL!s, published in the magazine's October 2004 issue. The guide rated co-ed colleges on six key factors correlated with young women's success during college and beyond. Commenting on the recognition, Dean of Admission Gail Berson said, "Historically, Wheaton's faculty has been composed equally of men and women, so students here find role models for the many career paths open to them. Wheaton makes a difference in the lives of its students, as evidenced by the more than 35 national academic awards won in the last five years. Young women and men thrive at Wheaton as they test their academic mettle and leadership skills in preparation for their lives in an increasingly complex world."
