Among those offering toasts and roasts at "Dale's Last Hurrah" were Mike Geller, associate director of admission (at mic), and Dan Golden, dean of work and service learning.

Looking forward to a cross-country roadtrip with her husband Don, Dale told the staff she is "happy to be giving up the small decisions and the big decisions, but very sad to be saying good-bye to all of you." Afterwards she presented each guest with a rose, as she did at her inauguration 12 years ago.
Staff presented Dale with "the biggest gift of all"—a costumed Debbie Salley, Advancement Division—in tribute to the president's extraordinary efforts on behalf of Wheaton.
