Kim Spence '04 created this sculpture for Tim Cunard's Three-Dimensional Design class. The assignment: to create a portrait using material as metaphor. A distance runner on the women's track team, Spence dug into her closet. "The running shoes she has saved over the years perfectly represented a major aspect of her personality," Cunard said. "Isn't it a great work!"
