Wheaton now accepting admission applications online
{prDate)
The Office of Admission at Wheaton College will begin accepting applications for admission today through a new World Wide Web system that allows high school seniors to complete the basic application from anywhere in the world, and at any time of the day or night, in 15 minutes or less.
The new application will save high school seniors time in completing the basic admission application form and facilitate instant verification that the data has been officially accepted by the college. This year, students who use the online form will also save money; the $50 admission fee is being waived for applications filed through the new system.
"Wheaton's new web application demonstrates the college's commitment to 'high tech AND high touch'," says Gail Berson, Dean of Admission and Student Financial Services at Wheaton. "As more and more students use the internet to find out about colleges, and now to apply, Wheaton will have the opportunity to communicate with candidates easily. We intend to use it to strengthen our personal approach in the evaluation process."
The new web application process represents the latest addition to the many services Wheaton provides over the web site. High school seniors interested in attending Wheaton are also able to peruse the college catalog and course schedule; correspond with professors, students and staff; find out about upcoming events on the campus; tune into the college radio station and check on the performance of college athletic teams.
