Starlight and the new year will be among the themes as the Wheaton Chorale and Chamber Singers present their annual holiday vespers concert on Sunday, December 2, at 7:30 p.m.

The Wheaton College greenhouses will hold an open house on Friday, Dec. 7 from 11 a. m. to 2 p. m. During the open house, visitors are free to wander around the greenhouses at their leisure and may also bring plants in need of repotting.

Joel C. Relihan, professor of classics, has produced a new translation of Apuleius's Latin classic, The Golden Ass (Or, A Book of Changes). The project, which took more than a year, resulted in a version of the work that is not only learned but also readable and fun.

Kim Miller, assistant professor of women's studies and art history, received the 2007 Aluka Award for Innovative Teaching. Aluka is an international, collaborative initiative that seeks to connect resources and scholars from around the world with Africa.

In partnership with a grassroots organization in the Philippines, four Wheaton students are working to establish a computer clinic for rural schoolchildren in that Southeast Asian country.
