The New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) announced that it has launched a new conference Web site, www.newmacsports.com, powered by PrestoSports.
The new, user-friendly site allows the conference to highlight the achievements of its student-athletes in various formats, while appealing to a broader audience. In addition to its sleek new design, the site features comprehensive pages for each of the conference's 18 sports, an interactive scoreboard and fan poll, as well as important conference administrative tools.
The NEWMAC consists of ten highly selective institutions committed to academic excellence: Babson College, Clark University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mount Holyoke College, Smith College, Springfield College, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, Wellesley College, Wheaton College and Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
The NEWMAC sponsors competition within NCAA Division III in the sports of baseball, basketball, cross country, field hockey, women's lacrosse, women's rowing, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, tennis, track & field and women's volleyball.
The NEWMAC began competition in the 1985-86 academic year as the New England Women's 6 Conference. Since 1998, the conference has sponsored conference competition and championships for women's and men's athletics.
