Wheaton to host first Northeast regional retreat of undergraduate student think-tank
November 7, 2005
Wheaton will host the first Northeast regional retreat of the Roosevelt Institution, the nation's first student-run think tank, this weekend (Nov. 12-13).
Hundreds of students from Georgetown to Harvard will spend the weekend on the college's campus in meetings aimed at fine-tuning policy plans and networking with fellow students and political figures.
New chapters of the Roosevelt Institution are being formed every day across the nation, and Wheaton students are at the forefront of the growth. With the recent founding of the group's policy journal, The Roosevelt Review, these students are well on their way to putting their ideas on policy areas like foreign/domestic security, social issues and international development into the public discourse.
