Wheaton Celebrates the career of Carlton T. Russell with a Concert in his Honor

The Wheaton College community cordially invites you to join us in a celebration of the forty plus year career of Carlton T. Russell who retires from Wheaton in May, on Saturday, May 1 at 4:00 p.

The Wheaton College community cordially invites you to join us in a celebration of the forty plus year career of Carlton T. Russell who retires from Wheaton in May, on Saturday, May 1 at 4:00 p.m. in Cole Memorial Chapel. The festivities will begin with a choral concert, featuring the Wheaton Chorale and Chamber Singers, under the direction of Tim Harbold. The program will include Haydn's ''Missa Brevis Sancti Joannis de Deo.'' The work is also known as the ''Little Organ Solo'' mass, and will feature Carlton T. Russell on the organ, joined by Wheaton faculty Joanne Mouradjian, soprano. The concert will also include music of Ralph Vaughan Williams and Samuel Barber, as well as Wheaton faculty composer Ahmed Madkour. At the conclusion of the program, a large chorus of alumnae/i, faculty, staff and friends of Carlton Russell will join the Wheaton students in singing Haydn's ''Te Deum for the Empress Maria Therese,''and all will join in singing one of Wheaton's favorite college songs, the ''Wheaton
Anthem,'' composed by Carlton T. Russell. The concert is open to the public without charge.
