Boston Pops Conductor Keith Lockhart to speak at Wheaton
Boston Pops Conductor Keith Lockhart will deliver a lecture this spring as part of the continuing Jane E. Ruby Lecture Series at Wheaton. The lecture will be held on Thursday, April 3 in Cole Memorial Chapel at 7:30 p.m.
Since his appointment as Boston pops maestro seven years ago at the age of 35, Lockhart has led more than 500 Pops concerts in Symphony Hall and throughout the world on 18 world tours. He has appeared on more than 44 television shows and appeared twice with the Boston Pops Orchestra at Carnegie Hall. The Boston Pops has performed throughout the United States and Canada, and also has appeared in Japan and Korea.
Lockhart will attend a post-lecture reception in the May Room, Mary Lyon Hall. The Jane E. Ruby Lecture Series is open to the public without charge. Both Cole Memorial Chapel and Mary Lyon Hall are wheelchair accessible.
