The Wheaton Dance Company presents a gala festival of dance

The Wheaton Dance Company is proud to present Eclipse on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, February 27, 28 and March 1 at 8:00 p.m. in the Weber Theatre of Watson Fine Arts. The performance is open to the public without charge and there are no tickets required.

The Dance Company performs under the direction of Cheryl Mrozowski, a resident of Newport, RI and a member of the faculty at Wheaton College for over fifteen years. Ms. Mrozowski is a former Miss Rhode Island and was voted most talented dancer at the Miss America pageant that year. She has also served as a judge for the pageant on several occasions. She received her early training as a member of the State Ballet of Rhode Island and launched her performing career with the Dayton Ballet and the Cambridge Opera Ballet in Cambridge England. Ms. Mrozowski received a BA from Salve Regina University and an MA in dance from American University and served on the faculty of the University of Washington, DC for six years.

The company will perform with guest artists, Capetown Dance Co. from Boston, the Bently Dance Team from Boston, and Trybe from Wheaton College. Guest choreographers include William McLaughlin from Boston, Nicole Roderiguez '01, Joanna Barroll '01, LaTonya Tolbert from Bloc NYC and a ballet by Andrea Mitrovich of American Ballet Theatre.
