Wheaton Chorale welcomes the holiday season with annual Vespers concert

November 20, 2002

The Wheaton Chorale continues a beloved holiday tradition in southeastern Massachusetts, presenting its annual Vespers concert midst the greens and candlelight of Cole Memorial Chapel on Sunday, December 8 at 7:30 p.m.

Under the direction of Tim Harbold, the Chorale will present a varied program featuring music of J.S. Bach and Lili Boulanger as well as Hebrew songs, and familiar carols. In addition to an ensemble of strings and winds, accompaniment will be provided by faculty members Carlton T. Russell on organ and Kathryn Work on piano.

As in the past, the campus pathways leading to the chapel will be lighted with hundreds of dazzling luminaria. All concert goers are invited to celebrate the season with a post-concert reception in the Balfour-Hood Atrium.

The concert is open to the public without charge, however, donations will be gratefully accepted.
