Wheaton awarded Alden grant for science equipment

Wheaton has received a grant from the George I. Alden Trust to fund a variety of science equipment priorities. The $75,000 grant supports curricular plans to make the sciences more central to the experience of every Wheaton student and gives Wheaton science faculty tools to illustrate critical connections between the sciences and other disciplines.

Wheaton economics professor earns Fulbright to Jamaica

Brenda Wyss, associate professor of economics at Wheaton, has been awarded a lecturing and research Fulbright to Jamaica for the spring 2003 semester. Wyss, a political and feminist economist, studies the intersections of gender, family studies and economics, with a particular focus on Jamaica and the Caribbean.

Wheaton chemistry student receives prestigious honor

Wheaton graduate Anastasia Pano '02 of Worcester, Mass., was the first recipient of the Northeastern Section of the American Chemical Society's (ACS) Phyllis A. Brauner Memorial Book Prize Undergraduate Research Award.

Wheaton student volunteers in Peru
