Wheaton finished 24th overall in the prestigious Sears Directors' Cup in NCAA Division III competition for the 2001-02 academic year.

German major Laura Jones '03, of Freedom, Maine, has been awarded a prestigious DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) award in support of a directing and dramaturgy internship at Hamburg' s Thalia Theater next year.

Brooke Bisson '02 and Anna Schultz '02, Wheaton's latest Fulbright scholars, will head to opposite corners of the globe this fall. Bisson, a double major in English literature and music will explore Acadian culture and folk music in Nova Scotia while Schulz, who majored in international relations and political science, will embark on a study of integrated water management practices in Zambia, Africa.

Six Wheaton College student-athletes have been named to the New England Women's and Men's Athletic (NEWMAC) All-Academic team for the spring of 2002.
