Is America at fault for 9/11?

Why did the attacks of September 11 occur? What was the role of American culture and foreign policy? How can future attacks be prevented?
These and other questions will be debated by two leading commentators on American culture at a debate at Wheaton on April 15.
Dinesh D'Souza is a research fellow at the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace at Stanford University. His new book, What's So Great About America?, will be published next week. His other works include Illiberal Education, The End of Racism and Ronald Regan.
Among Rabbi Michael Lerner's book are The Politics of Meaning: Restoring Hope and Possibility in an Age of Cynicism, and (with Cornel West) Jews and Black: A Dialogue on Race, Religion and Culture in America.
The debate, which is open to the public without charge, will be held at in Hindle Auditorium in the Wheaton Science Center on April 15 at 7:30 p.m. A reception will immediately follow the debate.
