Wheaton's Chamber Orchestra will perform its annual spring concert on Saturday, May 4, 2002 at 7:30 p. m. in Cole Memorial Chapel.

The National Science Foundation (NSF) and the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation awarded the college nearly $400,000 in grants this spring to help faculty establish a digital imaging facility and to support curriculum transformation across the disciplines.

Wheaton has received a $250,000 grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation of New York to help the college implement its new curriculum. The new curriculum, passed by the faculty last December after a two-year comprehensive review, emphasizes critical foundations of knowledge and connections across traditional disciplinary boundaries.

Historian and Pulitzer Prize-winning author David McCullough will address the Class of 2002 at Wheaton's 167th commencement on Saturday, May 18.

'A Midsummer Night's Dream' is the opening production in Wheaton's Weber Theatre, an intimate, state-of-the-art space for theatre, dance and music performances, in the newly renovated Watson Performing Arts Center.
