Parker Tichko '10 graduated from Wheaton College with a double concentration in music and psychology. During his junior year abroad (JYA) program, he attended the University College Cork in Cork City, Ireland. Before beginning semester studies, he enrolled in the University’s early start music program which surveyed a wide range of classical and popular Irish music and ended with a field trip to Dingle for a performance of Riverdance. During the month of October, the city hosts a plethora of art events including a folk week, jazz week, and independent film festival. Cork fosters an active music community and is an ideal location for the student looking for exposure to a diverse collection of music.
