Business study as part of a rigorous liberal arts education offers the best preparation for success.

Successful business and non-profit leaders face complex, interdisciplinary challenges that require critical thinkers, creative problem-solvers and effective communicators. Study of any major in the liberal arts will help you to develop these skills.

Our minor in Business and Management complements a broad and rigorous liberal arts education to prepare you for a career in business, management or non-profit administration as well as advanced study toward an M.B.A. or related business degree.

Course offerings in the minor are designed to promote an understanding of organizations (domestic and international, profit and non-profit) and the role they play in society. The program reinforces a high level of literacy in quantitative reasoning and communication skills, as well as offering a grounding in the basic operational areas of all organizations, including accounting, finance, marketing, and management.
