Stream Videos 24/7!

filmsWheaton College faculty, staff, and students can now access over 22,000 streaming educational videos 24/7. Videos are available for in-class use and remote viewing in the library, in the dorm, or at home - on your computer, tablet or smart phone.

Start your video streaming with the Films on Demand Master Academic Collection, a new library resource that makes videos available 24/7. The collection includes over 8,000 educational streaming videos and 90,000 video clips in the humanities, sciences and mathematics, health and medicine, and business and economics.

High quality videos from such providers as ABC Nightline, the BBC, Cambridge Educational, Films for the Humanities and Sciences, Ken Burns, National Geographic, PBS, the Royal Opera House, and TED are available 24/7. Search for specific video segments, organize videos into folders, create and share playlists, store quick links to favorite videos, and manage your customized collection on the Films on Demand web site.

Mobile devices supported include the iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch, Android devices if Flash is utilized for playback, and the KindleFire if users manually enable Flash before viewing on demand videos.

VASTAnd continue your video viewing with VAST Academic Video Online from Alexander Street Press. This collection includes over 13,000 streaming videos in American history, area studies, art and architecture, black studies, business and economics, counseling and therapy, criminal justice, dance, education, ethnic studies, ethnography, gay and lesbian studies, health and society, opera, philosophy and religion, politics and current affairs, psychology, science, theatre, women's and gender studies, world history, and world languages and literatures.

Producers and distributors include the BBC, Cinema Guild, Documentary Educational Resources, First Run Features, and PBS.
