Student Workers Abroad » Jana Vergados in Greece
While abroad in Athens, Greece I rarely had to use a library. The classes I took did not often call for me to search through texts. More often I had to visit museums like the National Archaeological Museum or visit archaeological sites like the Temple of Dionysus to observe and study antiquities. However, I did get the opportunity to use the private libraries at the British School and the American School. Being a student at CYA granted me this access (similar to the HELIN consortium); however, in contrast I had to attend an orientation session at the library, and I was required to make an appointment whenever I needed to use either library... not exactly easy access.
