Ever wanted to travel to St. Petersburg to see the Hermitage? Wanted to stroll through the Hall of Mirrors at Versailles? How about visiting the National Gallery or the Tate Britain in London? Or the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, or the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam?
Google's Art Project now lets you not only see high resolution images of fantastic works of art from these world famous museums, but also 'stroll' through the galleries, utilizing the same technology that they employ for Google Street View.
