Raquel Ramos, Associate Dean/Director

Dean Ramos provides leadership and supervision of the Marshall Center. She coordinates the services provided by the Center staff, developing appropriate resources and support for academic, cultural, and social programs fostering awareness and appreciation of diversity at Wheaton. Raquel collaborates with the Provost and Student Affairs divisions on the development of college-wide diversity initiatives and inclusion of issues of diversity across the curriculum. She also keeps a working relationship with the Advising Center and works with faculty members on students' academic planning and programming.

James is responsible for developing programming for the Marshall Center and helping to support student-run intercultural clubs. He manages and facilitates Between the Lines, an Intergroup Dialogue program which focuses on an experiential learning pedagogy for first and second year students of all backgrounds. James also provides support for Dean Ramos’ diversity initiatives across campus and provides supplementary advising for student clubs. James also works in Residential Life as an Area Coordinator for Young, McIntire and Clark Halls.

Gerrie Morris, Administrative Assistant

Gerrie is responsible for all the general office duties for the Marshall Center. She provides budget management, support for the various programs including Intercultural Orientation, assists with events, and provides general support for the staff at the Marshall Center. Gerrie is also responsible for the hiring, training and supervising of student workers.
