Assistant Director of Human Resources
(Employment, Employee Activities, and Training)
Meghann manages the college’s employment function, including staff recruitment and hiring, the orientation process for new employees and employee activities and events. She coordinates internal training and information sessions, conducts exit interviews and coordinates workers' compensation. In addition, she advises employees and managers on a variety of Human Resources issues.
Marilyn and Karen enroll faculty and staff members in the retirement and long-term disability plans. They maintain and update the HR/Payroll database with new employee payroll and benefit information and coordinate COBRA enrollment and billing. Karen and Marilyn are the initial contact persons for general inquiries.
Remle Gordon, SPHR
Associate Director of Human Resources
(Benefits and Compensation)
Remle is responsible for administering and managing the college’s benefit and compensation programs. She manages the college’s retirement plan, oversees tuition programs and leads HR/Payroll system initiatives. Remle coordinates leaves of absence and advises employees and managers on a variety of human resources issues.
Barbara Lema, SPHR
Assistant Vice President and Director of Human Resources
(HR Policies and Programs and Employee Relations)
Barbara directs and manages all human resources programs, including benefits, compensation, employment, employee activities, training and communications, policies and procedures, employee relations and strategic planning. She advises and consults with employees and managers on a variety of human resources issues, especially those related to employee relations and supervision/management. Barbara is the Staff Affirmative Action Officer and is the liaison to the Employment Environment Committee of the Staff Association.
Assistant Director HRIS
Melody oversees the use of HR/Payroll systems to ensure optimum usage and data integrity. This includes controlling security for access to HR/Payroll data and testing Banner upgrades. She writes reports against the Banner database to provide information for records, monitoring, and planning.
