The Office of Health & Wellness is pleased to announce that nutritional counseling sessions are available on campus for all interested Wheaton students, staff, and faculty.
WHAT: If you’re looking for advice on losing weight, have a particular medical-nutrition issue, or just want to learn to eat healthier, Nutritionist, Gretchen Stalters, MS, will provide you with ideas on how to improve your lifestyle.
WHEN: Appointments are scheduled in the New Yellow Parlor in Balfour-Hood from 11 AM to 2 PM. Individual and small group sessions are available.
HOW: To make an appointment, please contact Gretchen directly at 508-622-0813 or camtwins@comcast.net. Nutritional counseling sessions are by appointment only.
COST: Payment may be out-of-pocket (cash only) or may be charged to your health insurance. If your health insurance plan covers nutritional counseling or if you have a medical diagnosis such as weight gain, weight loss, diabetes, a GI condition, or high cholesterol, your nutritional counseling sessions may be billed to your insurance.
ACCEPTED INSURANCE PLANS: Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tufts, Harvard, United Health, Cigna, Aetna, Neighborhood Health, and First Health Network (Wheaton Insurance). Please call the Customer Service number on the back of your insurance card to confirm nutritional counseling coverage/co-pay information. If your health insurance does not cover nutritional counseling or you wish to pay out of pocket, alternative payment options and creative payment plans are available. WHO: Gretchen Stalters, MS, is an experienced Registered Dietitian who has worked with hundreds of clients on various types of nutrition issues. She graduated with a B.S. in Nutrition and an M.S. in Health Administration. She has many years of experience as a hospital based clinical dietitian and most recently as a private nutrition consultant.
