International Summer College Prep at Wheaton

From July 16 through August 4, twenty-four students from the city of Nanjing, China were on campus engaged in a series of intercultural activities designed to promote English language learning and introduce them to options in the U.S. for their college degrees. These students, ranging in age from 15 to 17, spent the those three weeks learning English, visiting college campuses in the Northeast region and meeting with local Norton High School students.
As part of this program two teachers from Nanjing, China conducted introductory Chinese language classes for Norton High students.

- All play and no work makes for a dull day so students study in order to develop their language skills
- As part of the “exchange” visiting Chinese teachers offer Chinese langauge course to Norton High students
