Mary Lyon Society
The Mary Lyon Society recognizes and honors those who support the college through gifts to the Wheaton Fund at a leadership level. Leadership giving by members of the Mary Lyon Society accounts for more than 85 percent of the Wheaton Fund's total each year. Increased annual giving to the college has not only helped to address pressing needs, but has also reduced spending of endowment income, thus preserving Wheaton's long-term financial resources.
Mary Lyon Society Giving Levels
Corporate matching gift programs can make membership in the Mary Lyon Society more attainable, allowing you to double or even triple your gift to Wheaton. Mary Lyon Society commitments can be made in installments, but must be fulfilled by June 30 of each year. The Wheaton Fund
Campaign goals:
- Grow annual giving through the Wheaton Fund by 22 percent
- Increase the number of alumnae/i, parents and friends who contribute to the Wheaton Fund
Key points:
- Gifts to the Wheaton Fund now contribute $2,580 to each student's education.
- Wheaton would have to add $80 million in endowment to generate what the Wheaton Fund provides annually.
