Patrick Dougherty's Twisted Sisters

During the last two decades, Dougherty has built over 150 sculptural works constructed of tree saplings throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. A lecture, opening reception and dedication, culminated a three-week residency, during which the artist worked directly with students on a site-specific sculpture for Wheaton's campus.
We were very fortunate to have been able to enjoy Twisted Sisters on campus from Fall 2008-August 13, 2012, when it had to be removed due to structural damage.

Sponsored by the Celeste Gottesman Bartos '35 Fund for the Visual Arts with in the Evelyn Danzig Haas '39 Visiting Artists Program and the Master Class in the Visual Arts Fund given by a Wheaton alumna within the Evelyn Danzig Haas '39 Visiting Artists Program.
