Peter Langton
Visiting Assistant Professor of Psychology
I am excited to join the Wheaton team as a Visiting Assistant Professor. I will be teaching Industrial and Organizational Psychology in the Fall term of 2012. As a practicing Industrial and Organizational Psychologist, I currently serve as the Executive Vice President of a national manufacturing and distribution company headquartered in Franklin, Massachusetts. I have also served as the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources and Organizational Development for AMI Leasing and Director of Strategic Planning and 6 Sigma Black belt for a subsidiary of Ford Motor Credit. My goal is to combine my background in psychology with solid business acumen to assist organizational leaders in hiring and developing employees. My research interests include the impact of self awareness on leaders, the development of effective work teams, and the role of leadership in organizational performance. I look forward to sharing how psychological theories can be implemented to assist organizations in reaching peak performance.
