Visiting Assistant Professor of Philosophy
My research interests focus on the relation between political philosophy and epistemology, with a particular emphasis on the early modern period. Most recently, I have completed a dissertation on the relation between imagination, religion, and the structures of communities in Spinoza's political writings. I'm also interested in the philosophy of education with a focus on the benefits of interdisciplinary and experiential learning, and have recently presented on the relation of business and liberal arts education at the Aspen Undergraduate Business Education Consortium. I have been a member of the Portico (business ethics) faculty at Boston College since 2013 and previously taught in the PULSE Program for Service Learning.
