Main Interests
Jorge is the founder of the Camerata Latinoamericana, a newly formed ensemble (2009) of young Latin American musicians from around the Boston area. The Camerata plays mostly music of Latin American composers and will be in residence at the Boston Conservatory from Fall 2011.
In Venezuela Jorge remains very active in "El Sistema", teaching violin, chamber music, playing solos and conducting throughout the country.
Teaching Interests
In addition to his work with the Great Woods Chamber Orchestra, Jorge teaches violin and conducts the orchestras for the "El Sistema" program in Boston, and assists Federico Cortese and the BYSO (Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra).
