Lewis Carroll's Alice in WonderlandProfessor Beverly Clark's ENG 286: Children's Literature provides students with an in-depth historical survey of British and U.S. children’s literature.  Students focus on approaching the texts as literature, but also examine these works' within changing cultural contexts in order to gain a sense of how material written for young readers responded to children’s various needs and interests. Readings include Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Little Women, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, Charlotte’s Web, Where the Wild Things Are and much more.
