Classes resume Tuesday, Feb. 12
Posted on February 11, 2013
Wheaton will resume its regular schedule of classes and activities on Tuesday, Feb. 12.
All facilities on campus are now accessible and prepared for regular hours of operations. These include the library and the Haas Athletic Center, which will reopen as of 4 p.m. today.
Students, faculty and staff are urged to take care when moving about the campus. Walkways have been cleared, but remain slippery in many spots due to rain and overnight freezing.
Parking restrictions for the campus have now been lifted, and students may park in designated lots as usual.
The library is scheduled to reopen at 4 p.m. this evening and will immediately resume its normal operating schedule, closing at 2 a.m.
Women's basketball will play against Clark University at 7 PM in Emerson Gymnasium. Celebrate by cheering the Lyons on.
Staff and Faculty
The second and third shifts should report for work today, as previously announced.
All faculty and staff will resume normal schedules on Tuesday.
Wheaton weathered this storm and is ready to reopen thanks, in no small measure, to the dedicated staff who worked countless hours before, during and after Nemo passed through our region.
One student showed appreciation for their efforts on Twitter:
Shout Out To Wheaton College's Cleaning Crew Tho !#hardworkers
When you see members of the grounds crew, public safety, the residence hall staff and others who worked throughout the storm to keep us safe and comfortable, please take a moment to show your appreciation.
