Education Department Alumni and Employer Surveys
In the spring of 2012, the Wheaton College Education Department sought feedback from its alumni in order to assess the quality of its programs. Over fifty graduates responded to the survey, which included questions about current employment status, graduate school attendance, and the extent to which alumni felt prepared to teach after earning their licenses at Wheaton College. The Department also asked for contact information and permission to survey the employers of those graduates who are currently teaching. An employer survey will be distributed in order to gather additional data about the performance of our alumni from these third-party sources. The results of these surveys, which are at the cutting edge of teacher education assessment nationwide, will be used to publicize the Department's achievements as well as to identify areas for improvement.
