Heather Brennan Smith ‘03

Heather Brennan Smith ’03 is the Assistant Principal of the Jordan/Jackson Elementary School in Mansfield, Massachusetts. In this role, she leads the school’s Response to Intervention (RTI) practices and serves as the district’s coordinator of bullying prevention. Prior to assuming this position, Heather taught English at a Mansfield middle school and at Hope High School in Providence, where she co-created a district lab site for writing workshops. Heather has earned masters degrees from Brown University and Rhode Island College and presented at Brown’s No Teacher Left Behind Conference, Boston College’s New Teacher Academy, and Rhode Island’s ASTAL Conference for Adolescent Literature.
