Kurzweil 3000

Kurzweil 3000 is an innovative PC-based reading system that helps people with reading difficulties or learning differences to improve reading speed and comprehension. This software provides both an auditory and visual presentation of scanned text and images on the computer screen. This advanced yet easy-to-use system may be used as a compensatory aid for people with learning disabilities.

Kurzweil 3000 can be found on 1 computer on the periodicals level of the library.

NaturalReader

NaturalReader is a Text to Speech software with natural sounding voices. This easy to use software can convert any written text such as MS Word, Webpages, PDF files, and Emails into spoken words. NaturalReader can also convert any written text into audio files such as MP3 or WAV for your CD player, Cell Phone, or iPod.

Natural Reader can be found on 2 computers on the stacks level of the library, 2 computers on the periodicals level, and 2 computers in Kollett Hall.
