In ENG 256, students practice critical analysis of text that are depictions of and reflections on this process. In EDUC 240, critical analysis often centers on the non-neutrality of texts and contexts, as well as the idea that literacy is not always liberating or empowering and thus is often used to marginalize or limit opportunity.
