Cisneros Fellows

APPLICATION DEADLINE IS 12:30 PM, TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2013

Each summer, the Fundación Cisneros offers three internships specifically geared towards students with Spanish language competency and a background in the arts.  One Wheaton student selected by the Fundación will receive a $5,000 stipend.  Additional students may receive offers from the Fundacion for unpaid internships.  Merit scholar recipients may apply their scholar stipend to this experience and other students can apply for funding through a competitive process available through the Wheaton Fellows program.The three positions are:

The Fundación Cisneros is a private, nonprofit organization in New York City established by Patricia Phelps de Cisneros and Gustavo A. Cisneros, and presided by Adriana Cisneros de Griffin. The Fundación Cisneros is devoted to improving education throughout Latin America, and fostering global awareness of the continent’s heritage and its many contributions to world culture.

Students are responsible for finding their own housing in New York City.  Previous interns have found housing at the 92nd Street Y or have sublet apartments found through other online sources such as craigslist.
