Davis International Fellows Recipients

Thriteen Wheaton students will be fanning out across the globe this summer to extend their learning through internships and research projects funded through the Davis International Fellows Program.
The program is designed to help students undertake educationally meaningful international experiences that link to academic or career interests. These can include internships, service/volunteer experiences or structured independent research.
Recipients receive a $5,000 stipend to support experiences of six to eight weeks during the summer break. This year's Davis International Fellows include:
- Nicole Chicoine ’14, a neuroscience major, will intern at Iringa Regional Hospital in Tanzania
- Max Glick ’15, a classic civilization major, will intern with the Gournia Excavation Project in Greece
- Nick Hall ’14, a history & English double major, will complete independent research in Scotland
- Sophie Howard ’14, a sociology major, will intern at OPALS/Dem. Org. of Migrant Workers in Morocco
- Lindsay Koso ’15, an art history & classics major, will intern at the Balkan Heritage Project and the Caere Project in Italy & Macedonia
- Ben Kragen ’14, an anthropology major, will complete independent research in Bhutan
- Carolyn Maloney ’14, an international relations major, will intern at OPALS in Morocco
- Khadim Niang ’15, a political science major, will intern at Conscience International in The Gambia
- Shirley Ngai ’15, an anthropology major, will intern at Lerang’wa Health Facility in Tanzania
- Dimitri Rodrigo ’15, an economics major, will intern at Ernst & Young in Sri Lanka
- Matthew Sexton ’14, chemistry major, will intern with Child & Family Health International in India
- Maricielo Solis ’14, an international relations major, will intern at Bolivian Express in Bolivia
- Kimberly Steen ’15, a biology major, will intern at City Heart & Medical Centre in India
