Jordan's stellar week leads to ECAC Co-Swimmer-of-the-Week honorFebruary 7, 2008
Jordan tallied six wins last week, capturing four individual races and two relays. He won the 50-yard backstroke in 25.40 and the 50-yard freestyle in 22.77 during last Tuesday's double-dual home meet against Division II Bentley College and local foe Bridgewater State College. He also swam the leadoff leg for the victorious 400-yard medley relay team that finished in 3:43.81. In the final home meet of his career last Saturday, Jordan posted top finishes in the 100-yard backstroke and freestyle events against New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) foes Bates College and Tufts University. He swam 53.16 in the 100 back and 49.34 in the 100 free. Jordan also led off for the winning 200-yard medley relay quartet that turned in a time of 1:41.19. With a team-leading 25 event victories this season, including a team-best 16 individual triumphs, Jordan has helped Wheaton to a 7-10 record. The Lyons complete their regular season on Saturday at the Middlebury College Invitational at 1:00 p.m. Wheaton will then head to the three-day New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Championship at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) from February 29-March 2.
