NORTON, MA- Wheaton College women's soccer senior Kathleen Carroll (New Paltz, NY/New Paltz Central) became just the fifth ESPN The Magazine Academic College Division All-America selection in school history, earning a spot on the second team. Carroll becomes the second player from the women's soccer program to draw an accolade, joining Erin Duffy '05. Qualifiers are selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Carroll follows Duffy, Lisa Yenush '90, Dina Terceira '99 and Caitlin Grant '09 as Academic All-America selections. She was among 33 players chosen for three teams and one of 11 on the second squad. Carroll was also one of just four from a New England school and one of two hailing from a Division III institution in the region. She was the lone representative of New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) schools.

In leading the Lyons to their 10th straight NCAA Tournament appearance, where Wheaton fell in the second round to finish with an 18-4-2 mark, Carroll appeared in 21 of the Blue and White's 24 games. While playing dual roles as a back and a forward for a team that led the NEWMAC in goals scored and allowed, she also helped the Lyons record a league-best 16 shutouts. Carroll provided one goal and two assists while drawing 13 starts. She netted the winner during a 3-0 shutout of Western New England College on September 16, just 11 days after assisting the game-winner in a 2-1 victory over then-nationally-ranked Western Connecticut State University.

During her four-year career, Carroll helped the Lyons post a 77-13-6 overall record, including 31-2-3 in NEWMAC play. Wheaton qualified for four NCAA Tournaments, earned at least a share of four regular season league crowns and won two NEWMAC Tournaments.

In addition to being selected to the ESPN The Magazine Academic College Division All-District I first team, which made her eligible for the national ballot, Carroll earned NEWMAC Academic All-Conference honors for the third straight season. A Dean's List qualifier during her career, Carroll has a 3.93 cumulative grade-point average while pursuing a degree in mathematics. Carroll, a member of Wheaton's Math Club, has also qualified for the Wheaton Presidential Award, which requires a minimum 3.75 GPA. Additionally, she studied last spring in New Zealand.

The College Division consists of NCAA Divisions II and III, the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and two-year institutions. To be nominated for the Academic All-America program, a student-athlete must be at least a sophomore in academic standing, possess at least a 3.30 cumulative GPA and be a starter or significant reserve.

Women's Soccer (18-4-2, 6-1-2) Advances to Second Round of NCAA Tournament

The Wheaton College women's soccer team, which is ranked fifth in New England by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), went 1-1 over the weekend at Middlebury College, advancing to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before falling. The Lyons knocked off Richard Stockton College of New Jersey, 2-0 in Saturday's first round before dropping a 2-1 decision to the host Panthers on Sunday. It marked the 10th straight season Wheaton qualified for the NCAA Tournament, as Middlebury was also the site of its first NCAA road trip during the 2000 season.

With 16 shutouts, the Lyons tied the fifth-highest total in program history as well as placing sixth in goals against average (0.45) and tying for ninth in wins (18). Wheaton blanked 12 of its last 16 opponents while allowing six goals in the last 1,506:53 over 17 contests since September 23.

In her first collegiate contest in her home state, junior Emily Hough (Norwich, VT/Hanover) delivered both of Wheaton's goals against Richard Stockton in the teams' first meeting. Her first marker came in the sixth minute, snapping the Ospreys' shutout streak at 325:17. During the 49th minute, senior Lyndsey McManus (Marshfield, MA/Marshfield) sent a corner kick that the Richard Stockton keeper came out to secure but dropped while falling in the rainy conditions, and Hough pounced on the loose ball for her second goal. Sophomore Lindsay Leddy (Warwick, RI/Wheeler School) made three saves against the Ospreys, who were ranked sixth in the NSCAA South Atlantic regional poll.

Against Middlebury, which is ranked 12th nationally and second in New England by the NSCAA, senior Rosie Levy (Torrance, CA/Chadwick School) knotted the contest before the hosts tallied the winner early in the second half. After the Panthers scored in the 16th minute, Wheaton countered in the 32nd. Sophomore Emily Vincunas (Granville, MA/Wilbraham & Monson Academy) worked to keep the ball in on the sideline and carried up the left side of the field, sending a centering cross to freshman Cassey Muse (Candia, NH/Central), who touched the ball off to a rushing Levy, and the midfielder tallied at 31:23. However, Middlebury took its only two shots of the second half in the 50th minute, with Leddy going high to deny a chance but the rebound finding another Panther, who netted the winner. Leddy finished with two saves, as the Lyons held slim edges of 8-6 in shots and 3-1 in corners.

Hough is seventh in program history in career assists (33), eighth in points (97) and ninth in goals (32), while Leddy is third in shutouts (18), fourth in wins (29) and sixth in minutes (3,806:05). McManus completed her four years tied for ninth in games played (92). With her numbers this fall, Leddy was third in season minutes by a keeper (1,992:12), sixth in wins (16), tied for sixth in shutouts (8) and eighth in goals against average (0.50). Muse finished with 15 goals this fall, the third-highest freshman total in program history, and had eight winners. With 10 assists, Hough became the fifth Wheaton player with three double-digit assist seasons.

MIDDLEBURY, VT- The Wheaton College women's soccer team's season came to an end on Sunday in the second round of the NCAA Tournament, as the Lyons dropped a narrow 2-1 decision to Middlebury College. Inclement weather forced the contest to be moved from the grass of Dragone Field to one of Middlebury's turf surfaces.

The Lyons finished the fall at 18-4-2 while making an appearance in their 10th straight NCAA Tournament, while the Panthers improved to 14-3-2 during their fifth NCAA Tournament and advance to next weekend's sectional round.

Senior Rosie Levy (Torrance, CA/Chadwick School) scored in her final collegiate game for Wheaton, knotting the score in the 32nd minute, while sophomore Lindsay Leddy (Warwick, RI/Wheeler School) made two saves. The Lyons held edges of 8-6 in shots and 3-1 in corner kicks, including 4-2 and 2-0, respectively, during the second half.

Seniors Paola Cabonargi (Staten Island, NY/Tottenville) and Lindsay Walker (Ridgewood, NJ/Ridgewood) tallied for the Panthers, who are ranked 12th nationally by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), while junior Lauryn Torch (Bronxville, NY/Bronxville) had three stops.

In a contest between a pair of squads that earned at-large bids into the NCAA Tournament, Wheaton fell for the first time in four all-time meetings with the Panthers. A little more than four minutes into the second half of a 1-1 game, Middlebury junior Kirsten Lundquist (Boxford, MA/Masconomet Regional) fired a shot from the right side of the box that Leddy went high to deny, batting the ball toward the left and a rushing Cabonargi, who headed home the eventual winner at 49:35.

Wheaton pushed to knot the contest soon thereafter, but junior Emily Hough's (Norwich, VT/Hanover) shot off a corner kick was blocked a few yards from the goal by a defender standing in front of Torch. Neither team had another good opportunity until nearly nine minutes remained in regulation. Lyon senior Lyndsey McManus' (Marshfield, MA/Marshfield) initial hit off of a free kick was blocked by the wall, but she one-timed the rebound toward the lower right corner, where Torch made a diving save to preserve the lead.

Middlebury scored a little more than 15 minutes into the game on the first sustained scoring chance for either team. After Walker took the first shot of the contest, which was deflected wide by a Lyon defender and gave the hosts a corner kick, junior Drew Smith (Silver Spring, MD/Maret) sent her corner cross through the goal mouth and toward the left end line. Panther senior Margaret Owen (Bozeman, MT/Bozeman) caught up with the ball, lifting a cross toward the center of the box, where Walker headed home the go-ahead marker at 15:20.

The Lyons tied the game toward the later stages of the opening half, with Levy tallying at 31:23. After sophomore Emily Vincunas (Granville, MA/Wilbraham & Monson Academy) worked to keep the ball in on the sideline and carried up the left side of the field, her centering cross found freshman Cassey Muse (Candia, NH/Central), who touched the ball off to a rushing Levy. From there, the midfielder buried a shot into the right side of the net beyond Torch.

MIDDLEBURY, VT- In her first collegiate contest in her home state, junior Emily Hough (Norwich, VT/Hanover) delivered both of the Wheaton College women's soccer team's goals during its 2-0 victory over Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on a rainy Saturday at Middlebury College's Dragone Field. The Lyons kicked off play in their 10th straight NCAA Tournament at the site of their first NCAA Tournament road trip, which they made in 2000.

Now 18-3-2, Wheaton advanced to Sunday's second round against the host Panthers, 6-0 winners over Husson University on Saturday. The teams face off at 1:00 p.m. with a spot in next weekend's sectional round on the line. The Ospreys, who were appearing in their eighth NCAA Tournament, ended the season with a 14-7-2 record.

In her first season splitting time between forward and back, Hough came through with markers in the sixth and 49th minutes, as she now has 97 points for her career. Sophomore keeper Lindsay Leddy (Warwick, RI/Wheeler School) made three saves, as the Lyons held a slim 10-8 advantage in shots while attempting five of the seven corner kicks in the game, including all four tried during the second stanza. Freshman Maria Dorris (Mantua, NJ/Clearview) also turned in three stops between the Osprey pipes.

During the first meeting between the teams, each of which earned at-large berths into the NCAA Tournament, Wheaton had a handful of opportunities early, with freshman Cassey Muse (Candia, NH/Central) nearly putting the Lyons on top in the third minute, but she was unable to get a foot on a cross near an open left side of the net. Soon thereafter, Hough provided Wheaton with the eventual winner, collecting a ball in the box and driving a shot off a defender and into the left side at 5:22. The marker snapped Richard Stockton's shutout streak at 325:17. In the 10th minute, the Blue and White again threatened, with Muse's redirection of junior Alessia Viscomi's (Newton, MA/Newton North) corner-kick shot hitting the far post.

Richard Stockton began applying more pressure during the second half of the opening stanza, including placing a long ball through the middle of the field that sent junior Leah Pocoroba (Galloway, NJ/Holy Spirit) sprinting toward net, but the striker narrowly had the ball taken away by Leddy before getting a touch. In the 33rd minute, Osprey senior Lindsay Roake's (Neptune, NJ/Neptune) free kick nearly cleared the wall but clipped a jumping Wheaton defender's head and was redirected wide left. Junior Shelley Gibney (Shamong, NJ/Seneca) also came close to knotting the contest in the 42nd minute, forcing a takeaway deep in the Wheaton end before sending her shot from 10 yards out just over the crossbar.

Hough almost tacked on another goal 1:30 before the break, but Dorris dove to cover the lower right corner and pounced on the ensuing loose ball before a rushing Lyon could get to it.

After Richard Stockton held edges of 6-5 in shots and 2-1 in corners in the opening half, Wheaton took command with Hough's early marker in the second stanza and a 5-2 advantage in shots as the rain began falling harder. Less than four minutes into the period, senior Lyndsey McManus (Marshfield, MA/Marshfield) drove a corner kick into the box, where Dorris came out to corral the cross. However, the slick ball slipped from the keeper's grasp, and Hough touched it with her left foot over the defense and into a vacated net.

During the 57th minute, Muse got her head on a McManus free kick but sent a try barely over the crossbar, and her chip off a breakaway in the 65th minute was denied by Dorris. In between the opportunities, Leddy kept it a two-goal game by rushing out of the net to cover up another ball the Ospreys sent long to a streaking teammate. Richard Stockton's final close call came with 13:30 remaining when junior Amanda Altman (Beachwood, NJ/Toms River South) ran onto a free kick and sent her header into the arms of Leddy.

The Wheaton women's soccer team turned in a league-best four NEWMAC all-league first-team selections, and freshman Cassey Muse was named rookie of the year during Tuesday's coaches meeting at WPI.

WORCESTER, MA- The Wheaton College women's soccer team turned in a league-best four New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) all-league first-team selections, and freshman Cassey Muse (Candia, NH/Central) was named rookie of the year during Tuesday's coaches meeting at Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI). Accruing four first teamers for the second time in three seasons, this year marked the 10th straight in which at least four Lyons were named to all-conference teams.

Muse joined senior Lyndsey McManus (Marshfield, MA/Marshfield) and juniors Emily Hough (Norwich, VT/Hanover) and Alessia Viscomi (Newton, MA/Newton North) on the first team. Hough is the first Lyon since Erin Brennan '05 and Erin Duffy '05 in 2002, 2003 and 2004 to garner all-league first-team accolades for three straight seasons. Viscomi was selected to the first team for the second time to go alongside last year's second-team honor, while McManus drew her second straight first-team award. Muse is the seventh player in program history to be chosen as the conference's top rookie.

Cassey Muse

In addition to leading the league in points (33), goals (15) and game-winners (8), Muse paced all NEWMAC players during conference action in goals (7) and game-winners (4) and tied for first in points (14). The striker netted a least one goal in 13 contests, including each of her first six games this fall, while one of her conference winners came in overtime against then-regionally-ranked Babson College. Muse also scored at then-nationally-ranked Western Connecticut State University during an eventual 2-1 victory.

Lyndsey McManus

A dual threat as a back and a forward at different times this season, McManus is second among league players in assists (9), sixth in points (23) and ninth in goals (7) while tying for first in assists (4) and tying for seventh in points (10) during conference play. A starting striker in five NEWMAC games and a back in the other four, McManus keyed an offense that leads the league in scoring while assisting a defense that yields the fewest goals in the conference and posts the most shutouts. McManus provided at least one point in 10 contests while scoring three game-winners and assisting three others. She is also a two-time all-region player.

Emily Hough

Hough has also split time between the forward line and the backfield, as she ranks first in the league in assists (10) and is tied for 10th in points (16). During her seven NEWMAC contests, Hough produced a game-winner at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) while assisting another winner. Against Western Connecticut State, she netted the winner and assisted the first goal after providing three assists in a 4-0 triumph over 2008 NCAA Tournament qualifier Roger Williams University. A two-time all-region selection, Hough is seventh in program history in career assists (33), eighth in points (93) and tied for ninth in goals (30).

Alessia Viscomi

Viscomi has made 20 of her 22 appearances as a starter in the backfield, serving as a lock-down defender for a squad that paces the conference in goals against average and shutouts during both league play and overall action. The team yielded only nine goals in 1,841:10 during the contests in which Viscomi appeared. Last fall, she drew a National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) All-America accolade. Viscomi is also a two-time all-region player.

Wheaton claimed a share of its 11th consecutive NEWMAC regular season crown before advancing to a conference tournament semifinal for the 15th straight fall. At 17-3-2 and ranked fifth in New England by the NSCAA, the Lyons are gearing up for their 10th successive NCAA Tournament appearance this weekend, when they will face Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in a Saturday first-round contest at Middlebury College at 1:30 p.m.

Women's Soccer (17-3-2, 6-1-2) Falls in NEWMAC Tournament, Earns NCAA Berth

The Wheaton College women's soccer team, which is ranked 25th nationally and fourth in New England by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), dropped its only game last week, as the second-seeded Lyons suffered a 1-0 setback against number-three Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) during a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament semifinal on Saturday at Wellesley College. The Lyons, who fell to the eventual champion, advanced to the semifinals for the 15th straight season. Wheaton later earned an at-large berth into its 10th consecutive NCAA Tournament, as the Blue and White will oppose Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in the first round on Saturday at Middlebury College at 1:30 p.m. The second-round contest will occur on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. with advancement to the next weekend's sectional round on the line.

With 15 shutouts, the Lyons have tied the sixth-highest total in program history. Wheaton has blanked 11 of its last 14 opponents while allowing four goals in the last 1,326:53 over 15 contests since September 23. As of last week, the Blue and White was ninth in Division III in goals against average.

Despite holding a 32-10 advantage in shots and taking nine of the game's 10 corner kicks, Wheaton yielded a 20th-minute marker to MIT during an eventual NEWMAC Tournament semifinal setback. Sophomore keeper Lindsay Leddy (Warwick, RI/Wheeler School) made five saves.

Junior Emily Hough (Norwich, VT/Hanover) is seventh in program history in career assists (33), eighth in points (93) and tied for ninth in goals (30), while Leddy is third in shutouts (17), tied for fourth in wins (28) and sixth in minutes (3,626:05). Freshman Cassey Muse (Candia, NH/Central) has 15 goals, the third-highest freshman total in program history, and has eight winners. With 10 assists, Hough is the fifth Wheaton player with three double-digit assist seasons. Leddy is tied for sixth in season wins (15) and tied for seventh in shutouts (7).

NORTON, MA- The Wheaton College women's soccer team will make its 10th consecutive NCAA Tournament appearance this weekend when the Lyons travel to Middlebury College to take on Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in first-round action on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. The 11:00 a.m. contest is between the host Panthers and Husson University, with Saturday's winners advancing to Sunday at 1:00 p.m. for the right to advance to the following weekend's sectional round.

Wheaton qualified for its third NCAA Tournament via an at-large berth to go alongside seven automatic qualifiers. The Lyons advanced to a league tournament semifinal for the 15th straight season after securing at least a share of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) regular season title for the 11th straight fall. Wheaton enters the tournament at 17-3-2 and is ranked 25th in the country and fourth in New England by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA).

Richard Stockton is 14-6-2 after tying The College of New Jersey in the New Jersey Athletic Conference (NJAC) Tournament championship game before the Ospreys fell by a count of 7-6 in penalty kicks. Saturday's meeting will mark the first between the schools. Richard Strockton is ranked seventh in the latest NSCAA South Atlantic poll. The Lyons enter the weekend unbeaten in seven of their last eight matches, while the Ospreys have a three-game unbeaten streak with three shutouts.

Wheaton, which has posted a 12-9-1 record through its first nine NCAA Tournament appearances, is on the road for the second consecutive year after traveling to Glassboro, New Jersey, in 2008. Each of the Lyons' last five NCAA Tournament games were decided by shutout. Seventeen of Wheaton's 22 games this fall involved shutouts, including 15 by the Lyons, which ranks in a tie for the sixth-highest total in program history. During the team's seven-game unbeaten stretch prior to Saturday's 1-0 setback to eventual league champion Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), it recorded six clean sheets.

Thirteenth-year head coach Luis Reis, who has led the Lyons to at least 16 victories in each of the last 11 seasons, has one of the highest winning percentages all time among NCAA women's soccer coaches while posting an overall record of 251-40-12 (.848). Wheaton is 3-4-1 on the road during NCAA Tournament play and is 8-3 away from Mirrione Stadium this season. The Lyons hold a 48-9 scoring advantage while limiting the opposition to a mere 0.41 goals per game, as they are ninth in all of Division III in goals against average.

Junior back Alessia Viscomi (Newton, MA/Newton North) is the mainstay of Wheaton's defense, having anchored a Lyon backline that has held opponents to a goal or less 20 times. Sophomore goalkeeper Lindsay Leddy (Warwick, RI/Wheeler School), who is tied for sixth in school history in single-season wins and tied for seventh in shutouts, is 15-3-2 with a 0.45 GAA and seven shutouts.

Senior Lyndsey McManus (Marshfield, MA/Marshfield) and junior Emily Hough (Norwich, VT/Hanover), who have each seen a considerable amount of time in the back, have also been key contributors on the offensive side of the field. McManus has turned in seven goals, nine assists and three game-winners, while Hough leads the squad with 10 assists to go alongside a trio of goals and two game-winners. Freshman Cassey Muse (Candia, NH/Central) has been Wheaton's offensive sparkplug with 15 goals, 33 points and eight game-winners. Her 15 markers are the third-highest freshman total in program history.

WELLESLEY, MA- The second-seeded Wheaton College women's soccer team was denied entrance into its 11th consecutive New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament final on Saturday, as the Lyons dropped a 1-0 decision to third seed Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) during the semifinal round at Wellesley College.

Entering the game ranked 25th in the country and fourth in New England by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA), Wheaton's NCAA Tournament hopes now are reliant on an at-large berth. Falling to 17-3-2, the Lyons had their seven-game unbeaten streak snapped, while MIT improved to 11-5-2 and will face defending champion Springfield College in tomorrow's final at 1:00 p.m.

Wheaton dominated play with advantages of 32-10 in shots and 9-1 in corner kicks, but it was the Engineers' 20th-minute goal that proved to be the difference, as the Lyons were blanked during a loss for just the second time this fall. Sophomore goalkeeper Lindsay Leddy (Warwick, RI/Wheeler School) was credited with five stops in the setback.

MIT sophomore Alisha Lussiez (Livonia, MI/Churchill) posted the game-winning goal 19:54 into the first half, with freshman Emily Kuo (Chicago, IL/University of Chicago Laboratory Schools) assisting, while classmate Meghan Wright (Devon, PA/Conestoga) made 11 saves in recording the shutout.

The Lyons notched three of the game's first four shots, but it was Kuo's blocked attempt at 19:49 that enabled Lussiez to knock home the winner. Wheaton took 12 of the half's final 15 shots, including a stretch of seven straight over 7:12, but was unable to find the equalizer. Included in that span were three corners within 1:20 of each other, but all went for naught.

Wheaton continued to apply offensive pressure in the second stanza, firing off 15 of the frame's initial 16 shots while attempting six corners by the 83:45 mark. Kuo nearly extended MIT's lead after twice smacking the post just 1:57 apart, and two more Wright saves down the stretch, including the final one with seven ticks on the clock, assured the Engineers the victory.

The nationally-ranked Wheaton women's soccer team enters this weekend's NEWMAC Tournament gunning for its eighth league tourney title in the last decade, as the second-seeded Lyons travel to Wellesley for a Saturday semifinal game versus third seed MIT at 1:30 p.m.

NORTON, MA- The nationally-ranked Wheaton College women's soccer team enters this weekend's New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Tournament gunning for its eighth league tourney title in the last decade, as the second-seeded Lyons travel to Wellesley College for a Saturday semifinal game versus third seed Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) at 1:30 p.m.

Capturing a share of its 11th consecutive regular season conference championship, Wheaton's appearance in this year's semifinal round marks its 15th straight. The Lyons hold a 3-1 postseason series advantage over MIT, including a 2-0 victory during the 2007 semifinal round. Saturday's first semifinal features top seed and regular season co-champion Wellesley against fourth seed and defending tournament champion Springfield College at 10:30 a.m. Sunday's title game is slated for 1:00 p.m.

Looking to gain entry into its 10th consecutive NCAA Tournament, the Blue and White begins Saturday's action with a 17-2-2 mark and rankings of 25th nationally and fourth regionally by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). Wheaton finished the league's regular season slate at 6-1-2, blanking eight of its opponents while holding an 18-2 scoring advantage. During last Saturday's first-round game against number-seven Babson College, the Lyons scored late for a 2-1 win. At 10-5-2 and 5-2-2, MIT blanked sixth seed Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), 4-0 on Saturday. In the regular season, Wheaton defeated the Engineers by a 2-0 count in Cambridge.

Wheaton is on a season-high-tying seven-game unbeaten streak, having gone 5-0-2 with six shutouts in that stretch while suffering just one loss in its last 13 games. The Lyons lead the NEWMAC in goals scored and scoring defense, having tallied 44 goals while surrendering eight. Wheaton also paces the league with a 0.37 goals against average and 15 shutouts. The Blue and White is ninth in Division III in GAA while standing second in New England. Boasting a 24-1-3 mark during their last 28 conference tournament games, the Lyons have blanked the opposition in 15 of their last 16 tourney wins.

Sixteen different players have found the back of the net, with freshman Cassey Muse (Candia, NH/Central) leading the charge with league bests of 15 goals, 33 points and eight game-winners. Muse's 15 markers are the third-highest freshman total in program history. Senior back and forward Lyndsey McManus (Marshfield, MA/Marshfield) has contributed seven goals, nine assists and three game-winners, while junior Emily Hough (Norwich, VT/Hanover), who has also played in the front and back, adds three goals, a league-high 10 assists and two game-winners.

Junior Alessia Viscomi (Newton, MA/Newton North) anchors Wheaton's stingy defense, as the Lyons have held their opponents to a goal or less 19 times. Sophomore goalie Lindsay Leddy (Warwick, RI/Wheeler School) is 15-2-2 with a 0.42 GAA and seven shutouts in 19 starts. She paces the NEWMAC in GAA and is tied for first in shutouts and tied for second in save percentage. Leddy is tied for sixth in program history in single-season wins and tied for seventh in shutouts.
