Teague went 2-0 during conference championship weekend, including overcoming a third-set deficit in the deciding match of Sunday's title contest in leading the top-seeded Lyons to the title. Teague paced Wheaton with a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the second position against a foe from fourth-seeded Smith College in the team's 5-0 win during Sunday's semifinal round.

In the final against five-time defending league tournament champion and nationally-ranked Wellesley College, which was the second seed, Teague lost her first set before knotting the match with a 7-5 victory in the second set. She then fought back from a 4-2 deficit in the final set in taking four straight games for a 4-6, 7-5, 6-4 victory.

Geocaris and Teague posted a 2-0 mark from the first doubles position over the weekend. Against Smith in the semifinals, the duo blanked its counterpart during the Lyon sweep. Geocaris and Teague then provided Wheaton with a much-needed doubles point in the title match versus Wellesley. Trailing 5-4 against the Blue, the tandem rattled off wins in four straight games against a nationally-ranked foe for an 8-5 triumph and eventual 5-4 team victory.

Extending their winning streak to six matches, the Lyons, who are ranked 12th in the Northeast, improved to 13-2. Wheaton set a school record for wins in a fall season and is within one of the program mark for an entire year. With the conference championship, the Lyons will make their first appearance at the NCAA Tournament, which is set to begin on May 14.
