Men's and Women's Cross Country Kick Off 2009 Campaign at Amherst Invitational

The Wheaton College men's and women's cross country teams opened the 2009 season at the Amherst College Invitational on Saturday, when the men took second and the women placed third. After each of the top nine men's finishers were Amherst athletes, juniors Nick Kacher (Waltham, MA/Waltham) and Colin Fahey (Waltham, MA/Weston) were 10th and 12th, respectively. The top female finisher for the Lyons was senior Katie Pratt (Litchfield, CT/Litchfield), who took 18th while competing for the first time since 2007 after studying abroad last fall.
